You Said Yes to Jesus, Now What?

Something in you shifted recently.

It might be hard to explain, but you know it wasn’t just another moment. Maybe it caught you off guard. And even now, as life keeps moving, that feeling hasn’t completely gone away.

You’ve gone back to your normal routine. Your schedule is full again. But there’s still a part of you that keeps coming back to it, trying to make sense of what you felt, or what it might mean.

Deep down, you know it wasn’t just a feeling.

You experienced the presence of God.

And for a lot of people, that’s when everything becomes real. It’s where faith stops being something you’ve heard about and starts becoming something personal. It’s where you realize you don’t just believe in God. You want to follow Jesus.

So, what’s next?

The Best Decision You’ll Ever Make

What happened matters more than you might realize.

Choosing to follow Jesus is the most important decision you’ll ever make. From this point on, everything about your life is different.

Your sins are forgiven. God isn’t asking you to manage them. He’s not holding them over you. They are completely wiped away. Because of that, you have direct access to God, who loves you so much He did everything possible to make a way for you to be close to Him.

You’re not walking through life on your own anymore. The Holy Spirit is with you in every moment, helping you, guiding you, and giving you the strength to live out this new life day by day.

Your life has purpose now. You don’t have to search for meaning or wonder what life is all about. As you follow Him, you’ll continue to grow into that purpose.

And following Jesus doesn’t just change your life here. It changes your eternity. You don’t have to wonder what happens after this life. Heaven is your promised home.

The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Every promise in the Bible is now for you. And it’s worth building your life on.

Your Next Step

In the Bible, believing in Jesus was always followed by baptism. It wasn’t something people put off or waited to fully understand. It was a way of marking what had just changed in their life.

It’s incredible that we don’t have to have everything figured out or get our life cleaned up before we can get baptized. Actually, baptism is a step of obedience and makes a public declaration of our decision to follow Jesus.

If you feel hesitant, that’s normal. A lot of people do. But there’s nothing to be afraid of. You don’t have to be perfect, and you don’t have to wait until you have everything right.

You said yes, and that means baptism is your next step. (Acts 8:12)

Why You Don’t Have to Wait

It’s normal to want to give something like baptism more time. To think about it a little longer. To wait until you feel more confident. To come back to it when you’re more sure of what it all means.

But the decision you’ve already made to follow Jesus is enough.

In the Bible, people didn’t wait until they felt completely ready or had everything figured out. They responded based on what they knew in that moment. That’s what makes this so simple.

You’ve already said yes to Jesus. You don’t need to prove anything first. You don’t need to reach a certain point before going for it. You can respond right now, just as you are.

What You Can Do Right Now

If you’ve said yes to Jesus, baptism is your next step.

It’s the way you mark what’s already happened in your life and go public with that decision.

At Faith Church, we’ve made it simple for you to take that step and celebrate it with others who are doing the same thing.

You can sign up for baptism here.

This is your moment to go public with what God has done in your life.
