Revelation of Grace

Revelation of Grace

I remember a time when I felt like my behavior had disappointed God.

I said to Him, “God, I’m sorry that I didn’t measure up this week.”

I swear I heard Him chuckle. “David, you mean last week you thought you did?”

He’s the Performer

Under LAW, we think the pressure is on us to perform…to measure up.

But under GRACE, we realize that the burden is all on Christ and what He HAS already performed on the cross.

It’s So Easy!

That’s why Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

“For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 (NKJV)

Religious Law

Jesus wasn’t speaking to people who were tired and exhausted from physically working at their jobs.

He was talking to people who were WEARY and heavy laden about trying to live up to the requirements of the LAW of Moses.

The yoke of the law and religion is hard and heavy. But Jesus came to reveal GRACE and TRUTH.

The Free Gift

“For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith.”
“And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;”
Ephesians 2:8 (AMP)

Look to the Cross

So if we think God is unhappy with us today because of something that we‘ve done…forget about it!

GRACE reminds us to relax and look to the cross to see what HE HAS already done.

Faith Church is built upon this revelation.

I call you blessed!
